Reiki – Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese healing technique and I am trained in the Usui method. The word Reiki is made up of ‘Rei’ meaning universal and ‘ki’ meaning life force energy. The practitioner utilises universal energy through themselves to bring the client’s energy back into balance.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace and wellbeing. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to receive or benefit from it.

Hypnotherapy – Hypnotherapy is a mixture of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. It combines the benefits of addressing underlying issues with a relaxing trance state. I specialise in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, which has the added benefit of focusing on the solutions to problems, rather than the problems themselves, which enables people to get better quicker.

When in this state, the subconscious mind accepts and acts on the positive and beneficial suggestions that enable the mind to focus on the changes you want to make. Therefore when the mind is relaxed it finds it easy to make the decisions needed to promote lasting change. As the client, all you need is the intention to change, enabling us to work together to bring about that change. Find out more here on my Penwith Hypnotherapy website

HypnoReiki – This is a combination session of both, utilising the best of both worlds! I start with the positive focus of Hypnotherapy and then gently ease into a Reiki session. Clients really feel the benefit of addressing both their outlook on life as well as the balance of energy in the body. It’s a slightly longer session than having either Hypnotherapy or Reiki on their own.

Guided Visualisation – Usually used in conjunction with Reiki and great for proactive healing when an injury needs to be healed or a blockage in the body needs shifting. The client is guided while receiving Reiki to visualise healing taking place either as a metaphor or anatomically. Gentle journeying through a landscape such as in the countryside or on the beach for example, can also be added.

Creative Healing – Using art and healing together in an exciting new project with Claire Lucas where we will combine Reiki and art workshops and retreats. More information on this coming soon. Claire’s  website  Art of Ceremony  can be found here
